V5RC: Push Back
VEX V5 Robotics Competition Push Back is played on a 12′×12′ Field, set up as shown in the illustration.
The objective of the game is to score more points than the opposing Alliance by scoring Blocks into Goals, controlling zones within the Goals, clearing the Loaders, and parking in the designated zones at the end of the Match.
Head-to-Head Matches:
Two (2) Alliances – one (1) Red Alliance and one (1) Blue Alliance – each consisting of two (2) Teams, compete against each other in Matches.
Each Match consists of a 15-second Autonomous Period, followed by a 1 minute and 45 second (1:45) Driver Controlled Period.
Driving Skills Match:
Consists of a 60-second (1-minute) Driver Controlled Period with no Autonomous Period.
Teams may choose to end the Match early to record a Skills Stop Time.
Autonomous Coding Skills Match:
Consists of a 60-second (1-minute) Autonomous Period with no Driver Controlled Period.
Teams may also choose to end the Match early to record a Skills Stop Time.
Overview of Participating Teams
Each team must consist of at least one member.
The robot must be inspected and designed by the team members themselves, including both autonomous functions and/or remote control operation by the Drivers.
